Athena Calderone | In10
I had just moved to NYC -dreaming of a new life- when I first came across Athena’s work. I bought a copy of The Kinfolk Table and thought, wow, I would want to live like that – at the time, I was working as an executive in a consulting firm-. And here I am, five years later, interviewing her for my blog.
Defining Athena Calderone is not a simple task. She is multidisciplinary creative, a multi-hyphenate talent: author, interior designer, cook, entertaining expert, creative director…the list goes on; in fact, she just launched a great podcast, More Than One Thing, where she interviews multi-hyphenate talents whose creative interests have led them on a nonlinear career path.
She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, son, and newcomer Tuco, her beautiful adopted puppy. Her townhouse delights her almost 500K followers on Instagram, where she is undoubtedly the queen of lifestyle. She continually captures her unique style on her blog EyeSwoon, and it’s now also brilliantly pictured in her new book, Live Beautiful.
Read on to learn more about our guest. A true inspiration to find your passion and develop your creativity, not having to choose amongst multiple interests and talents.

-My own two dreamy neighborhoods — Amagansett NY and Brooklyn NYC. I most certainly have a renewed appreciation for my homes and for the things I have collected over time to adorn my homes.
