Best books of all times you should read at least once.
Everyone talks about the need to read the classics. And we believe it to be true. Anyone who has not read The Divine Comedy, Don Quixote, Hamlet, or War and Peace is missing a fundamental part of literary history. They are amongst the best books of all time, but there are also great books that everyone should read outside that canon. Today, we have prepared a selection with essential titles, the best books of all time that you should read at least once.
Too much happiness, by Alice Munro, is one of those books that transforms the reader. The Canadian writer, the winner of the Nobel price of Literature, is one of the great living storytellers. In the Café of Lost Youth, Patrick Modiano depicts a particular Paris of the 1950s.
Gabriel Garcia Marquez and his work One Hundred Years of Solitude cannot be missing in this list; inventive, amusing, magnetic, sad, and alive, a masterpiece (and my favorite book). Enjoy Amsterdam, by Ian McEwan, and get lost in the pages of Disgrace by Coetzee. Hallucinate with the prose of Amelie Nothomb in The Character of Rain.
Be thrilled by the lyricism of Beloved by Toni Morrison and see how The Plot against America by Philip Roth wrote more than 20 years ago, is today an accurate portrait. Unforgettable is also The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima and A Tale of Love and Darkness by Amos Oz.
And you? What are your top 10 books?
