Sydney-based studio Daniel Boddam is responsible for renovating this house. To do so, they created a calm, refined atmosphere that recovers the original essence of the house, bringing, at the same time, the personality of the clients by mixing styles within the core of the existing home. Formal and functional simplicity, together with mid-century influences, have been vital in the development of the design. The interior of the house, organized on two levels, is luxurious and minimalist, based on a compelling set of layered materials and textures.
The ground floor is for daytime use, with large glass openings that favor visual and physical communication with the garden. In contrast, the upper floor is more intimate, grouping the bedrooms and bathrooms. Bespoke carpentry and furniture designed by Daniel Boddam, alternate throughout the space, creating a serene and unique atmosphere.
The collaboration with the interior designer and stylist Claire Driscoll Delmar, together with the careful connection of the materials, results in a real example of timeless design.
