Fredrik Karlsson | In10

If you like interior design and architecture, and use Instagram, I’m sure Fredrik Karlsson is not a stranger. Fredrik relinquished elite golf for the love of art, design, and furniture. Based in Stockholm, he works as an interior designer on both residential and commercial projects, from clothing stores to offices. He also does styling work for major brands such as Hästens Beds and Fritz Hansen, while collecting and trading vintage furniture. Fredrik is passionate about art and over the years has assembled a fine collection.

His favorite artwork is a 2019 Wolfgang Voegele “untitled,” and he is a great fan of the pieces born for the Chandigarh project. In fact, his private collection includes a desk and armchair designed by Pierre Jeanneret and LeCorbusier for that same project. His selection also includes a Charlotte Perriand’s 1960s Berger stool, amongst other exquisite furniture items.

With a refined eye for both choosing the pieces and combining them in space, Fredrik does what he loves, resulting in a unique and unmistakable style

NY BY FREDRIK KARLSSON

¤ A neighborhood to get lost…

-I really like it everywhere but find Williamsburg and Brooklyn a little special.

¤ An architectural work…

-Some of the biggest museums, I like most of them and especially what they have inside.

¤ A place to eat…

-The burger at Minetta Tavern gets me all the time.

¤A shop that every designer should know…

-My furniture and design shop @galerienorth

¤ A secret spot…

-Early morning runs or walks by the Hudson are really special. Love the atmosphere, if it’s good weather.
