The Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris celebrates one of the most influential Italian architects and designers of the 20th century: Gio Ponti, the great Milanese master of design and architecture.
The exhibition “Tutto Ponti, Gio Ponti archi-designer” goes over Ponti’s entire career (1921 to 1978,) presenting his diverse work – from construction to product design, from furniture pieces to light fixtures –. Gio Ponti was particularly observant to craftsmanship at a time in which making a product through a non-industrialized process was outdated. His glass, pottery, and jewelry pieces, some of them never showed before, will also be exhibited.
Wilmotte & Associés in collaboration with the graphic designer Italo Lupi, have designed the Paris retrospective that will be inaugurated on October 19th,2018, and will be open until February 10th, 2019
