In the small village of Tagadert near Marrakech, Villa K – a project by Studio KO– faces the High Atlas Mountains. This exquisite contemporary house blends in like a chameleon with its surroundings. The villa masterfully combines modern architecture with ethnic-style furniture and contemporary decorative objects.
It is a serene, tranquil, frugal rather than fashionable home. A space that speaks gently with a palette of few materials, and we’re counting the light as one of them (if not the most important!). The result is a neutral but detailed scheme, including wood, concrete, glass, and matte black joinery. On the outside, the infinity pool resembles the old irrigation basins in the area. It extends to reach the mountainous horizon, making it the focal point of the property.
The intimacy of this Villa, designed by Studio KO, is an invitation to enjoy the space as much as the landscape flawlessly brought into the interior.
