Tarruella & Trenchs studio, has reformed this residence that preserves the essence of the original construction, a simple house that had been a barn. Without a doubt, the opening of a double-height has brought life and modernity to this house.
Following a neutral palette, the ceilings and walls have been whitewashed in shades of white and sand. In the private area, the roof has been covered with cane (by Pont de Queros). This magnificent roof of canes interlaced in diagonal accentuates the oak parquet with its natural knots. The juxtaposition of all these elements with the cement floor used in the common area completes a rustic look, with a modern touch.
An excellent example of rehabilitation that has managed to preserve the original essence. A contemporary space that adapts to its environment where nature and noble materials are the main characters.
