In a world of fast trends, where design has become a mass consumer industry that needs to change and adapt every season. Where we are urged to refurbish our homes -and any other space for that matter- and to acquire the latest trendy items. Denmark based architect Danielle Siggerud comes as a breath of fresh air with her timeless architecture.
MD Townhouse -Copenhagen, Denmark- shows a superb sense of attention to detail (look at the door handles, and the kitchen sink!) and extraordinary sensitivity. The tranquil and constraint range of colors allow the original wood beams and the selected marbles in the kitchen, bathroom, and vanity to pop-out creating a harsh but still sophisticated ambiance. Her combination of classic furniture like the Pierre ‘Jeanneret’s chairs, the Rietveld’s Zig-Zag, or the Serge Mouille’s lamp, with vintage pieces like the Danish 1940s sofa in sheepskin, and the selection of curated art pieces, resulting in a perfect overall composition.
